To get started, gather your favorite floral prints, soft blues, and a small piece of batting or fusible fleece. Here's a quick list of what I used (you can click the links below if you need suppliesāsome are affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission at no cost to you š):
š§µ About the Pattern:
This placemat features:
A flower blockĀ with a pieced stem and leaves at the center

Flying Geese columnsĀ on both sides
A simple floral borderĀ to frame it all beautifully
Whether you hand quilt, machine quilt, or use fusible batting, this project comes together quicklyāand makes a lovely gift too!
šŖ” Instructions Overview:
1. Make the Flower Block Piece together a 3x3 flower unit, add the stitched leaf and stem unit, then finish with background strips.
2. Flying Geese Borders Use the classic stitch-and-flip method to make 12 geese units. Sew them into two columnsā8 units per side. But if you want to save time, give this Flying Geese 4-at-a-Time method a try!
3. Assemble the Top Attach the flying geese columns to each side of the flower block. Add the side, top and bottom borders.
4. Finish the Placemat Layer with batting and backing, stitch around the edges (leaving a small gap), turn right side out, and topstitch to finish.
